3 Days desert Tour - Marrakech to Marrakech
DAY 01 : Marrakech - Tichka pass - Ait BenHaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades
We will meet you at your accommodation in Marrakech and start the desert tour from Marrakech to Marrakech via Erg Chebbi driving to Dades over High Atlas mountains, crossing the Majestic Tizi n Tichka Pass, in the middle of the High Atlas which stands in 2260m above sea level. Get to the famous Ksar Ait BenHaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987. You will visit Ksar, then have a lunch in a local restaurant. Afterward we continue to Dades crossing the city of Ouarzazate “Hollywood of Africa” with famous movie studio for being the shooting site for movies as “ Gladiator”, “ The Mummy”. Then we will continue via Skoura palm grove, and Kalaa Magouna “The Rose Capital” where we will stop for to visit a woman co-operative for rose distillation. After visit we head to Dades. Overnight at your hotel with dinner and breakfast.
DAY 02 : Dades to Merzouga via Todra Gorge
After breakfast in your hotel we will start travelling to Erg Chebbi via Todra Gorge, a very wonderful canyon with its 300m high standing rocks. We continue via Erfoud and Rissani. Lunch on the road. Passing through the town of Erfoud and just before you reach Rissani there are the ruins of Sijilmassa, the capital of the first virtually independent Islamic principality in the south. Its foundation is lost in myth, but by the end of the 8th century it was a staging post for trans-Saharan trade. Upon your arrival to Merzouga, Berber village, you will leave your luggage in the hotel and take with you only the necessary ones before you will take a camel trek to the camp across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will watch the sunset on your way or at your arrival to the bivouac. Overnight at your nomadic camp where you will have dinner.
DAY 03 : Merzouga - N’kob - Draa Valley - Tizi n Tichka pass - Marrakech
Early in the morning, we wake up you for to watch the most beautiful sunrises in your life. This is a great opportunity to shoot some nice pictures. Then you will ride camel back to the hotel, where you will have breakfast and shower. After breakfast depart to the red city of Marrakesh via the town of Rissani, the cradling of the Alaousit dynasty. Afterward we continue our way toward Nkob town, the first village at the bank of the Draa Valley, the longest valley in Morocco with its 7 million palm trees. After lunch we will drive via Ait Sawn pass and Ouarzazate towards Tizi n Tichka pass. Arrival to Marrakech in late afternoon, where the desert trip of Berber Nomadic expedition ends.
