Day tour in Marrakech
We meet you at your accommodation in Marrakech. Then you will be joined by an official local guide to see all the sites with historical and cultural interest, including the Koutoubia Menaret, the Saadian tombs, the beautiful Palace of Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School. Finally, end the morning by walking through the Medina alleys - getting a chance to admire all of the different artisans performing their crafts before arriving at the famous Jamaa El Fna Square. In the afternoon you will have a chance to walk around the square by your own.
Day trip - Marrakech to Essaouira
After breakfast a journey will take us to a different climate as we hit the road toward the famous town of Essaouira, the windy city. Along the way we will visit the Argan Oil co-operative for you to have an idea of how this famous and only produced oil in Morocco is made and what does it serve for, and if you are lucky enough you will have the chance to take a picture of herd of goats climbing the argan tree. Arrive in Essaouira around 11:30am, where you will visit the old Medina for a couple of hours walking through the streets with its unique feeling and you'll be able to trace Portuguese, French and Berber architecture. Its white washed houses, cool breezes, relaxed atmosphere along with its friendly cafes, many local artistsselling their crafts made of thuja wood, the delicious fresh fish and other sea food. After lunch in the Medina you will have free time to explore and to walk along the Medina and beach on your own. In the afternoon we will drive back to Marrakech and end the tour.
Day trip - Marrakech to the High Atlas mountains and Ourika Valleys
We pick up you in the morning in your accommodation in Marrakech and start driving to the Atlas Mountains, through the olive tree groves. You will get to the gate of the Ourika valley at the village of Tnine Ourika, where a great weekly market is set every Monday. Once we visit the market (if Monday) you start the 2 hour hiking through a lot of Berber villages and through many cultivated terraces to reach the village of Timalizine from where you'll cross the bridge and get back to the main road to get back to the car to carry on the journey up the Ourika valley towards the stunning village of Setti Fadma, which marks the end of the Tarmac road. After lunch in a local restaurant you will be setting off for another 45 minute walk to visit some of the waterfalls. Afterwards we drive you back to your accommodation in Marrakech where the tour ends.
